THURSDAY 20 JULY 2023: cozy campfire session for early bird campers – flamenco and blues

Cana & Hobo Two traveling musicians of modern times! Back to the Roots – Flamenco and Blues! The two passionate musicians from southern Spain and northern Germany are united by their soulmates and their love of music, roots music, flamenco and rumba and the blues of the cotton fields. "The traditional rhythms will probably stay forever, but we still want to breathe new life into the old well-known songs." Cana, born in 1969 in Seville, Andalusia, grew up with the flamenco of the neighbors as musical mother's milk and learned to play the guitar on the street and in hairdressing salons - as was customary there at the time. And so he plays and sings with his own lightness and enthusiasm and also tells of the joys and sufferings of people in many of his own songs.
Hobo from Hamburg, born in 1971, supports and accompanies him on his harmonica, just as he learned to do as a blues musician in many countries around the world. His experience and his sensitive and at the same time concise playing make him a welcome "real sideman" for many of his colleagues, as the collaboration with Abi Wallenstein (D) and Tim Lothar (DK) shows. The two met on the Canary Island of La Gomera. Where will the two artists take us?

FRIDAY, July 21, 2023: Gianni Dato & The Blue Tone. The power quartet!

Blues rock pop

With "The Blue Tone" Gianni Dato has finally found the musicians to express his blues feeling and to implement it energetically and with a lot of joy in playing.
With "Gianni Dato & The Blue Tone" the feet don't stand still anymore. The listener is enchanted by the voice of the native Sicilian and his guitar sound. That gets under your skin. Anyone who thinks that Gianni Dato just plays the music is wrong. He not only plays it, he also lives it with an enormous stage presence.

Line up on 21.07.23/XNUMX/XNUMX:
Gianni Dato (guitar, vocals)
Winnie Bucher (bass)
Martin Deufel (drums)
Tobias Rädle (piano/organ)
